About the project
Telesoftas is building a new revolutionary data engineering platform, allowing businesses to apply Data-Science and Machine Learning into their processes. As a new team member you will be working on features for this platform and/or implementing product features for our customers. You will work on projects ranging from: Smart-Policing, Automated Talent Acquisition, Telecom Network optimizations to Computer based clothing recognition and Time-series forecasting. Tasks range from; designing and/or implementing data ingestion, loading and transformations, collaborating with stakeholders and data-scientists, set engineering best-practices, mentor junior members and many other exciting tasks.
What will this person do?
You will join us in building a scalable cloud-based platform for data-analytics. You will work in Scrum teams that develop new functionality and enhance our revolutionary platform – starting from the User Interface down to the database, including working with Docker containers and Kubernetes running on-premise and at cloud providers like AWS and Microsoft Azure. Via this platform, you will solve the problems that our worldwide customers are facing. These problems range from improving processes in the public sector to matching talents with vacancies and medical applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, code and unit test batch & real-time analytical solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept for selected solutions;
- Take a technical lead role;
- Analyze complex business problems, collaborate with engineers and make decisions on how to solve them;
- Set development best practices for other developers to follow;
- Review software architecture, design and code written by fellow team members;
- Drive efficiencies in software development processes and tooling.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with Python;
- Good awareness of the Python ecosystem and libraries including understanding of trade-offs involved when deciding what to use;
- Advanced English language skills;
- Experience with one of these two points.
Nice to Have’s
- Knowledge of Bioinformatics;
- Experience with data-driven designs and working practices;
- Experience with data-processing frameworks like: Hadoop, Spark, Apache Flink;
- Experience of deploying Python apps in containerized environments using DevOps practices;
- Architecture design experience in both Monolith and micro service based solutions;
- Thorough understanding of REST API, OO, TDD and functional design principles;
- Familiarity with Linux.
